Can Separated Couples Reunite?

It is often wondered whether or not separated couples can get back together. I, for one, have often asked myself the same questions. So can separated couples reunite or not? My parents separated when I was eight years old and finally divorced when I was twelve. So, for a long time, I was under the impression that once a couple separated that was the beginning of the end. Now that I am older, I am beginning to believe otherwise. I am starting to believe that there is still hope so long as the couple is willing to work at it.
